They have red wingtips with silky plumage in soft browns and grays with a black bandit mask and bright yellow on their tail tips. 

They favor places with plenty of trees and bushes especially berry bearing.

Consider native trees or shrubs that have berries to attract these beautiful birds.  You can try to entice them to your backyard Hopper Feeder with a mix that contains fruit. 

Cedar Waxwings can be found in the northeast and Great Lakes area but can also be found throughout North America.
